a) Evaluation Study: The firm will present a study to the Golf Course demonstrating the need and benefits of a new irrigation system. All pressure recorders, photographs, or other data will be the responsibility of the designer/consultant to produce.
b) Existing Condition/As-Is Re-creation: The firm will be responsible to re-create all of the existing conditions of the golf course features in a digital format; including but not limited to: greens, tees, fairways, rough, tree inventory, areas of maintenance limits, bunkers, waste areas, existing sprinklers, isolation vales, mainline routing, lakes, drainage, topography, cart paths, landscape beds, and any other feature relevant to the irrigation renovation. It will be scaled to a minimum 1"=100' with feature topography and can be generated through Aerial Survey, Geodetic Survey, Satellite Imagery, or any combination that will give a current condition of the golf course. c) Conceptual Master Plan: This plan will be developed based on the findings of the research phase and re-creation of As-Is conditions. The plan will graphically demonstrate, in color, where the improvements will take place. This plan will also include a timeline with associated project costs on a month by month basis, starting now and continuing through the project completion. Included on the plan will be a color rendering showing sprinkler coverage and placement. The plan will also include a piping diagram with pipe sizes and associated flows. A static pressure model will be built based on the topography listed and displayed for all greens, tees, and fairways. d) Construction Drawings: Will be prepared with details and specifications to insure that a well constructed, manageable irrigation system is installed. e) Bidding Assistance: A process that will allow the owner, Irrigation Consultant and Contractor(s) the opportunity to discuss the project and insure that everyone has a full understanding of the total objective: |

a) Field Staking, Observations and Construction Management: Assists with the subtleties discovered within each site by the irrigation designer and owner's representative. b) Global Positioning/Total Station As-Is Mapping: Will provide additional construction management elements to the project including sprinkler type and locations, green square footage, tee square footage, length of golf hole from each tee, and total irrigated acreage for each golf hole. c) Final Construction Record Drawings: The #1 tool that the Golf Course Superintendent will use on a daily basis. This plan will show all vital irrigation equipment installed. It will be prepared from all of the field notes, staking data and site reports as generated through the project. The plan will be prepared on AutoCad R14 at a scale of 1"=100'. d) Final Inspection Walk Through: Will be provided at which time the system is fully operational from the central, every station is turned on and noted on the construction record drawings, (CRD's) the programming booklet is verified. Field commissioning to verify CRD measurements is accurate, look at every quick coupling valve, look at every isolation valve/box, and look at every electrical splice to verify compliance with the specifications, and prepare a final punch list. e) Central Computer Startup, Programming, and Support: The computer based irrigation system has become very complicated, and today's systems offer too much flexibility. As with most computer systems, once they are programmed they will enhance the flexibility of the system in addition to providing point of responsibility to the irrigation system designer. f) Schedule of Values - Hourly rates: g) Survey Marking of Sprinklers: One of the most expected side benefits from having an automatic sprinkler system is having distances from the sprinklers to the green. Provide measurements for all Par 4 & 5 golf holes from 90 to 250 yards out on all fairway sprinklers. In addition to measurements for each Par 3 tee area. Provide a measurement to the front or rear of each green. Provide all measurements on a computer-generated plan for record keeping. |
